The course uses a classroom blended delivery model, combining face-to-face classroom sessions, guided learning, theory assessments completed at home and practical training in a simulated workplace environment.
Assessment includes knowledge tests and practical demonstrations, simulations or role plays, as required by each unit. Summative theory assessments are completed outside the classroom. Practical assessments take place in classroom and simulated environments where permitted by the unit requirements.
Where a unit requires assessment in a functioning workplace, students must provide evidence of performance in that environment, with sufficient tasks and materials to meet the unit requirements. Contact Austra College to confirm the workplace assessment arrangements for your pathway.
Students must meet all required training and assessment requirements to achieve the qualification. Course completion is not guaranteed.
